• Comments from Any Dooley-When coaches call return the calls ask” What can we do for you”, figure out a way to let them play. Work with the coaches. Keep your organizations organized. Feed off of other good organizations. Andy has the temporary list of ASA player’s reps for the National Tournaments.

• Comments from Ron Radigonda-Registrations do not charge over the top, there are several associations charging 35.00 per player, will lose teams at this rate. ASA now has Cyber liability. Background checks, if you think something is going on report it! Equipment standards two players are now suspended for shaved bats. Keep up the good job of testing your equipment. Let Ron know if you see local rec departments closing due to funding, he sees this coming down the pipe.

• Minutes from Canton meeting were approved on a vote.

• Comments from Warren Jones-Introduced a copy that completes stats from tournaments, Benander Games Sports Data, increases the enjoyment of the leagues for having stats. How it works=Need scorekeepers at every game.

• Review of 2010 JO tournaments in Eastern Territory-Give any changes to the tournament to Joe Alfonse. Get creative so we have the participation per Andy. National tournament even territory tournaments should always have scorekeepers.

• Joe Alfonse comment on the web site, there is a territory website.

• Additional comments from Warren/Andy/Ron-have more than one person helping with RegisterASA per Andy. Be patience with RegisterASA as the issues are being worked on. Need to have everything in RegisterASA..i.e. registrations, background checks and ACE. Sell on quality not price, per Ron. Ron said with suggestions with RegisterASA please get with Lori Coleman.

• 2010 Board of Directors election-if someone is interested in running per code notify the national office at least two weeks before the national convention. Nominated Joe Alfonse, RB Thomas,

• 2011 Eastern Territory Meeting date -Boston, Woburn. Date is April 8th thru the 10th. Holiday Inn Express.

• 2012 tentative hosting is New Jersey. Dates will be given at the National Convention in November.

• $1800.00 in the territory fund for 2010.

• Voted 1000.00 per year for each region in the territory to pay. Vote passed

• Voted 100.00 to reimburse MASS ASA for the website. Vote passed

• 2012 Adult bids-Due July 1, Men SP C, D, E- Women SP C D,- CO-ED C D

• 2012 JO Bids-Due July 1

• 2012 Youth cities interested in Nationals-MD, Buf NY, CT, Dayton OH, PA, Canton OH, VA

• 2012 Adult cities interested in Nationals-Dayton OH, NY, VA, Ohio ASA

• General Business-everyone in the room stated they felt like our meeting was important so Warren stated that all of the Regions need to be represented at the Territory meetings. Andy stated need to bring UIC and JO to the meeting. Warren asked about having a breakout session so UIC and JO can discuss the goings on.

• Voted on having breakout sessions all day Saturday if needed will wrap up Sunday morning.

• Vote that each association will pay 100.00 to the territory to support the UIC Clinic every 8 years, monies will go to Guy. Discussions on umpire host exchange. Best way is to work with the commissioners to send umpires to their tournaments.

• April 23rd and 25th for the Board Meeting, if you have an agenda item please give to Andy. Andy brought up something to think about, he was in CA and a police officer say “WHO IS WATCHING YOUR CHILD”, there are bad people in the world.

• Andy have asked that everyone get a RED veterans shirt if they did not have one, he has asked that everyone wear their shirt on Thursday at the Council meeting.

• Score keepers for the Eastern Territory have to be used during the double elimination tournament. It would be nice to use them during the pool play.

• Having score boards on all fields was discussed. Tabled until the National Convention. Possible have it mandated by 2013.

• Spending the minimum of $5.00 on the opening ceremony breakfast/luncheon or dinner.

• Discussion of rest rooms. Would like to have permanent ones but if you do have to use port a potty make sure they are kept clean. You can’t go all tournament and only clean them once.

• Get pricing on water bottles, stainless steel and plastic to had out to umpires and or participates.

• In 2012 the tournament entry fees for the youth tournaments will be $425.00 and for adult $375.00. This is what was decided on by the people who bid on the Eastern Nationals.

• In 2011 pay the umpires by the code.

• Feeding of umpire $14.00 a day.
